Diaspora Sound handles distribution and release services for Caribbean music - reggae, dancehall, and soca - through Symphonic Distribution. This overview lays out the services we run on our own releases, shaped for Becca Deadly's cut on the WYFL Riddim alongside Alicai Harley - a riddim Becca co-produced with DJ MAC and CrashDummy. 03DJ & Tastemaker Servicing
Servicing through Diaspora Sound's own proprietary network of DJs, radio stations, and tastemakers across Caribbean music - the selectors, sound systems, and stations that actually break dancehall records in the islands and across the diaspora. Dana will also work directly with DJ MAC to make sure the riddim's producer is pushing the record through his own channels and promo runs.
04Riddim Stream Marketing
Fan-facing marketing built around the riddim itself - working the WYFL Riddim as a body of work, with stream-focused campaigns that put the riddim, and Becca Deadly's cut on it, in front of dancehall listeners where they already live.
05Artist Profile & Long-Term Release Strategy
We set Becca Deadly up properly as an artist-producer at the DSPs: a new official artist profile on Spotify, Apple Music, and the other services - claimed and verified through Spotify for Artists and Apple Music for Artists - with clean metadata connecting her artist and producer credits from day one, starting with her co-production on the WYFL Riddim itself. Around that, we build a long-term music release strategy that positions her as a proper artist-producer: the natural progression from a career spent at the center of this culture, from MTV and Apple Music 1 to founding DEADLY.

What We'll Need From the Artists
The services above work best when the artists are visibly behind the record. For this release, that means:
- Consistent short-form content: Becca and Alicai each posting regularly on TikTok and Instagram through the release window - behind-the-scenes, studio moments, dance/reaction clips on the record, and reposts of fan and DJ activity. Consistency beats production value; we'll supply a simple content brief.
- Joint livestream on release day: a joint Instagram/TikTok Live from Becca and Alicai to announce the record the day it drops - talking the riddim, playing the song, and pushing everyone watching to stream and share it.
- Radio run: a press run to discuss the record on radio - BBC 1Xtra with Seani B and Ras Kwame, plus ZJ Sparks, Bambino, and other key voices across the dancehall radio circuit in the UK, Jamaica, and the diaspora.
About Becca Deadly
Becca Dudley - performing as Becca Deadly - is an English presenter, DJ, producer, editor, and model, and one of the UK's most visible champions of reggae and dancehall. Signed by MTV in 2012 as the new face of MTV UK, she became the network's longest-serving lead presenter, fronting the EMAs red carpet for MTV International for eight years and covering music events worldwide. She was among the first DJs brought on to launch Apple's global radio station Beats 1 (now Apple Music 1), hosting her own shows.
In 2016 she founded DEADLY (@deadlyofficial), the London-based platform for reggae, dancehall, and bashment culture - producing digital series, original documentaries, interviews, and live sessions with artists from the UK, the Caribbean, and worldwide. Stepping forward as an artist-producer on the WYFL Riddim - which she co-produced with DJ MAC and CrashDummy - is the natural next chapter of that story.
About Alicai Harley
Born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Thornton Heath, South London, Alicai Harley - the "Hot Shot" - is one of the UK's most exciting dancehall voices: a proper yard gyal and a proper Londoner at once. She broke out in 2017 with "Gold," followed by her debut EP The Red Room Intro (Yard Gyal Inna Britain), and has built a catalog that moves fluidly between dancehall, hip-hop, and R&B. Most recently she appeared on Di Genius's Hill & Gully Riddim, one of the biggest dancehall riddim projects of 2026 - making her a perfect, current pairing for the WYFL Riddim.
About Diaspora Sound
Diaspora Sound is run by Dana Shayegan, a label executive who has spent his career at the intersection of reggae, dancehall, Caribbean, Afrobeats, and Latin music. His work spans distribution, marketing, and label services for some of the biggest names in the culture - from Sean Paul and Buju Banton to multi-platinum producer Rvssian, and from Machel Montano and Monk Music to Kes, Voice, and Bunji Garlin.
The track record: over 4,000 songs released, and projects he's worked on have collectively driven more than 100 billion streams and views - including work on multi-platinum, RIAA-certified records with Rvssian ("Santa," "Nostálgico"). He ran the music vertical at Studio71, managing a YouTube network doing 1 billion views a month in music content, and served as reggae and island music editor in iHeartRadio's digital programming department. Today he operates Diaspora Sound as a dedicated home for moving Caribbean records globally - with the data-driven approach of a major and the direct relationships of an independent.
